![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() At the bottom of the page, you will find a link called The maps are available individually or in a UNIX tarball which you can find at the bottom of the listing WinRar opened this file for me and from memory Winzip also handles tarballs. The NSW maps I down loaded from a web site run by Festy on the here: The Hemas come in at 158 pixels per metre or 126 km across the screen. To get your head around this, with my 800圆00 monitor, the Sunmaps show 1688 m (1.688km) left to right on the monitor and NATMAP is about 25.5 km. The Sunmap maps are at 2.11 metres per pixel. This means that the Hema 2008 maps are not as good a scale as NATMAP which is at 31.87 metres per pixel. It does not matter the original scale, it is the scanning resolution that matters and OziExplorer shows you the metres per pixel when it shows you a list of available maps or when you press the info button. I've finally got my head around map scales in a digital environment. I've purchased the NATMAP Raster and the QLD Sunmap 1:25,000 series. Well,I thought, it might be about time to show the maps I have been able to accumulate. ![]()
